GREG SOMMERS – Director

Greg Sommers joined the Board of Directors of Camp to Belong International in 2010 and became a member of the Program Development and Quality Standards Committee. Sommers believes that being connected is one of the greatest human needs, which is why Camp to Belong fits perfectly into the mix of Greg’s professional and personal pursuits.

Sommers is a team building, training, and facilitation consultant and owns his own business called The Core Project. His programs and workshops are designed to provide teams, students, companies and organizations with dynamic and insightful experiences that produce true and lasting success from the inside out. In addition, as the Director of Outreach at Idaho Drug Free Youth, Sommers designs student leadership programs and works with about 50 schools speaking to more than 5000 students every year. His experiential assemblies engage students in interactive activities and discussions that allow students to open up, make positive choices and changes, decrease bullying, and build community within their schools.

Sommers first became involved with CTB Northwest five years ago to provide family groups with team building experiences and quickly learned that he had a lot to learn about the real meaning of connection. Now with a healthy dose of humbleness, he continues to provide team building for CTB Northwest and Washington while also contributing to counselor training and development.

Sommers lives in North Idaho with his wife, Mollie, and two kids, Daisy and Dock. When he’s not working on his house or in his shop, he likes to play guitar, hang out with friends, ride his many bikes and date his wife.
