HEIDI KRIEGER – Director

Heidi Krieger has sat on the CTB International Board since 2007 and served as Board Secretary from 2007 to 2011. This includes being responsible for the compilation and updating of the CTB Operations Manual, which is used by all member camps. She has worked at the University of Southern Maine since 1995 and joined the Muskie School of Public Service in 2002, where she works with the Youth and Community Engagement Team on various child welfare-related projects.

Not long after joining the Muskie School, Krieger became immersed in the planning and development of Camp To Belong – Maine. As the CTB Maine director, she is instrumental in all aspects of the program, including: camper and counselor recruitment, staff training, programming, fundraising and evaluation. When she isn’t focused on the actual camp, she works throughout the year on other sibling-related projects and is developing community support for statewide, year-round sibling reunion events. Krieger also works closely with YLAT to plan and implement the Annual Teen Conference and Permanency Events.

Krieger received her Master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine. Working in her dream job, Krieger feels blessed to get to weave together three lifelong goals–her desire to run a children’s camp, her love of working with children of all ages, and her creative and organizational expertise in event planning.
