Rebecca Swartz joined the Board of Directors of Camp to Belong International in 2007 and serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance committee. Swartz is a Manager of Global Operations at Target Corporation, where she is part of a team responsible for ensuring that Target’s products are manufactured ethically and in accordance with local human rights and environmental laws. Prior to joining the Target team in 2006, Swartz was a manager of human rights at Reebok International, Ltd., where she first connected with CTB International as a volunteer at Camp to Belong – Massachusetts.
Swartz completed her Bachelor’s degree at Oberlin College and later graduated from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, earning her MBA with concentrations in Supply Chain Management and Sustainability. While in the program, Swartz completed consulting engagements on corporate responsibility challenges for Phillips-Van Heusen, Nike and the Kenan Institute, and she served as a Summer Associate at SustainAbility, an independent consultancy and research firm. Before business school, Swartz was Director of Research & Strategy for HNW, Inc., where she lead market research projects and delivered strategic marketing programs to Fortune 500 companies and non-profits such as: Fidelity Investments, Merrill Lynch, Wilmington Trust, Wachovia and Community Foundations of America.
Swartz currently resides in Minneapolis, Minn., and grew up outside of Boston, Mass. Her interests include literature, cooking and hiking.
