TERESA DEBROUX HOUGH – Director

Teresa DeBroux joined the Board of Directors of Camp To Belong International in 2007 and has served on the Marketing and Education committee. With a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, DeBroux began her career in child welfare as a foster care case manager for a nonprofit agency in Pensacola, Florida, later serving as the foster home licensing counselor. In 1999, after volunteering at Camp To Belong – Colorado, she felt compelled to further her education to become more of a child advocate and began her graduate studies, later earning her Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Over the years, DeBroux has remained involved with Camp To Belong, both behind the scenes assisting with special projects year round, as well as on the front lines as a camp counselor and photographer during the summer. DeBroux currently works in her hometown as a Guardian ad Litem case coordinator, advocating for the rights of abused and neglected children in the dependency court system. The middle of three children, she enjoys a close relationship with her older sister and her parents, all of whom are very supportive of her work with Camp To Belong.
