Our Member Camps are the heart of the Camp To Belong community. CTB’s mission comes alive in our work together. They develop and nurture partnerships that make camp week possible.
- Our campsites are certified by the American Camp Association (ACA) and are often offered at a reduced cost. Most host campsites have some of their staff manage activities that require trained personnel such as horseback riding, obstacle courses, and swimming.
- Volunteer counselors come from all walks of life, including teachers, social workers, college students, and retirees. Some counselors have experienced foster care and some are former campers. Each volunteer must pass a background check through Verified Volunteers.
- State child welfare agencies and caseworkers in local offices identify sibling groups to attend to camp. Many child welfare agencies also pay a campership stipend that covers part of the cost of attendance. Campers are also referred by foster parents, CASAs, or other adults involved in kids’ lives.
Join Our Community
If you are dedicated to our mission and have the passion and energy to launch a Member Camp in your community, please contact us about joining the CTB community. Our vision is that brothers and sisters everywhere have the opportunity to participate in this life-changing week.
We have a mentor program that matches new camp directors and their leadership team to one of our established Member Camps and experienced teams. You and your team will attend one week of camp along with CTB staff who will help you learn how our signature events and all camp activities are planned and managed. CTB staff provide on-site support during the early years of camp to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Camp To Belong does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability, marital status or sexual orientation in any of its activities or operations. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all of our campers, volunteers and staff members.
